GREAT JOB! I’m also a graudate of UOP. My FIRST maters degree was in Curriculum/Instruction (2009), and i’m currently working on my SECOND masters degree is in Administration/Supervision (2010).

The most stupid thing I always hear about Univ of phoenix is that SUPPOSEDLY “It has a bad reputation”. The question I have to those who claim this is “With whom do this university have bad reputation with and why?” Those idiots that say degrees from U of P are useless, are mostly people who never had a college degree or never attended any schooling after their high school schooling. University of Phoenix is awesome and YES the degrees here are real and is recognized just fine.

The degrees they issue are not worth the paper they are printed on.
This school has a VERY BAD reputation. I suggest you contact HR department with your employer and ask them there opinon of UOP from an organizational standpoint.
I just transfer out of Univerisity of Phoenix after a year to American Public University. It was the best choice of my life in relation my education and development.
I completed my first class at American Public University and it truly was a non-stressful event. The instructor was active and actually was TEACHING!
Yeah, I am not going to finish with them. I’ve learned a lot but I just fell that I need to complete my education at a more established school. I think the education is good but maybe its not enough and I don’t think employers really recognize them as a serious school. So I am going to see if I can transfer to a more established school. The worst thing is the academic counselors. I took a break and now I am thinking that its not worth it considering what I am paying.
My guidance counselor wanted to sign me up for classes even though he knew I didn’t have a proper PC and software capable of using the UofP website. They are all about making money, that’s why you see their ads ALL OVER the web. The classrooms are a joke. Most of the “teachers” feedback information was cookie cutter responses that gave me no help at all in my assignments. This school has had fines put on them by the Dept of Education for signing up unqualified students. STAY AWAY!!!!
you would be surprised ! North Central association of colleges and schools is just another accredited division but they will be cracking down on them too. I think they are too lienant on these online colleges. Now that the economy is going people are watching these schools more closely
I honestly think if this school were a scam they wouldn’t be recognized by FAFSA and they wouldn’t be able to be accredited.
How is this school a scam if it is recognized by other universities? If it is a scam why does the credits transfer over to other schools to further your degree?
so-called… there lawyers(people that got a 4 year degree and went to law school for 3 years)..Yea… those guys…I can bet you if u get credits for this school you couldnt transfer them to any BIG UNIVERSITY..I went to this school for a couple of months…The lady i talked to on the phone compared this school to RICE and YALE(what a joke)… She got me in but im a sucker for that one
eventually common sense had to kick in and i had to realize there just isn’t a short cut to success. the total cost to complete my BA would’ve been around 100,000 they said and it’s basically in the same time span of a regular university..So why lose all my finacial aid just to pay for the next UOP commercial? Kinda cruel that they would play on older people’s desperation. Bcuz the classes i had were nothing but mid aged people. i gladly went back to my community college. dnt buy the hype folks!
would be an exciting place to go. I soon found out why they encourage you to take classes online. because when you walk into the class there are like 5 big round tables with little chairs and an overhead projector that the ”teacher” reads from. It’s all fluff with no actaul assingments. I went to just one class and after that i never went back. They had the nerve to bill me 575$ for the one night i went!! counselor who got a degree from harvard said they did the same thing to him. total fraud.
i totally agree this company is all about money. They wanted to take my finacial aid and apply it towards my ‘’student debt” then when they found out i was eligible for VA benefits they told me i my own money would be billed against my account bcuz it’s income that can be paid towards my student debt..that they create of course. They tell you any financial aid you recieve should go towards you student debt. including loans!! Omg you would think with the money they are charging you the actual

I wouldn’t dare put it on a resume or expect anything other than overpriced tuition and student loans that you will forever regret taking out.

If the University of Phoenix doesn’t provide people with a good education…how would you know this? Did you get your Doctorate from them and it’s their fault they didn’t teach you how to write? LOL.
